Andrea began her career in Digital Animation in Costa Rica, working for six years within the animation and video game industries. She contributed to major animated series productions before moving into game development, gaining extensive experience in 3D production.
Alongside her technical specialization, she became deeply involved in concept art and character design. It was through drawing and developing characters that she discovered her enduring interest in storytelling and expressive form.
Seeking a deeper connection with material and physical presence, Andrea continued her studies at the Barcelona Academy of Art, focusing on traditional sculpture. Her work reflects a dialogue between imaginative world-building and classical academic training — blending stylization, illustration, and sculptural structure.
Today, her practice centers on figurative sculpture as a vehicle for storytelling. Inspired by nature and lived environments, her work explores the relationship between memory, character, and the spaces we inhabit — translating narrative sensibilities from the digital realm into tangible, material presence.
